A glimpse into the accomplishments and milestones of the Deeper Network in our first year on the market.
Deeper Network
We now live in a world profoundly changed by the internet and all its data. Yet the majority of the world is unaware of the dangers of having our personal data, detailed to the minutiae, being owned and controlled by a select few entities, and the power they wield over us.
Founded in 2018, in Silicon Valley, the Deeper Network developed their core technologies in AtomOS, Trident Protocol, and Deeper Connect hardware to protect people from cyber security vulnerability, information suppression and internet censorship. With the initial equity round of USD $2 million, the Deeper Network’s preliminary R&D allowed the vision of a peer-to-peer network that empowers real users of the internet to be created. The tech paved the way for the next generation of the web through the combination of blockchain, network security, and a sharing economy.
AtomOS, the world’s first lock-free network operating system was built with speed and security in mind. The Trident protocol is a decentralized, shared communications protocol based on the blockchain which circumvents network censorship, secures data transmissions, maximizes the use of network bandwidth while reducing delays in data transmission. The early funding allowed the Deeper Network to develop the first plug-and-play prototype, the Deeper Connect Lite.
In 2019 The Deeper Network launched the public testnet with a Proof of Credit consensus algorithm, with over 1,000+ users and more than 200 paying nodes. The PoC mechanism ensures true decentralization as every participant on the network is given an equal chance to contribute and earn rewards. It is whale resistant and prevents one class from dominating the others. The Deeper Network has consistently achieved the goals laid out on their roadmap, including the successful launches of four generations of Deeper Connect models.
The Deeper Connect Mini
In 2020, the second Deeper Connect model was launched. The Deeper Connect Mini was unveiled at CES and crowdfunded on Indiegogo. The launch was a massive success, with over 10,000 backers from more than 120 countries. The diversity of Deeper’s community of backers created a strong foundation for a robust network in the present, and the growth potential for an even more robust future. With the initial success, the Deeper Network was nominated by Parity to take a part in the Substrate Builder’s program. This nomination led to the Deeper Network winning the top Web3 Foundation grant and officially becoming a member of the program in 2021 and joining the Polkadot ecosystem, kicking off a busy 2021.
The Deeper Network won 2nd place and received the “Most Active Community” award at the inaugural Polkadot Hackathon event.
The hackathon win preceded the Initial DEX Offering (IDO) where $6 million was raised. Listings on Uniswap, PancakeSwap, Loopring, MEXC, Gate.io and Kucoin soon followed. Then it wasn’t long before the first Deeper Connect Mini was shipped!
Deeper Connect Nano
On the back of becoming an official member of the Substrate Builder’s program, the Deeper Connect Nano was developed and launched on StackSocial e-commerce platform. The Deeper Connect Nano has all of the same amazing features as the Mini, but with a smaller footprint.
DeeperChain and the Mainnet
To create a true peer-to-peer network, the Deeper Network launched their mainnet and Proof of Credit mining system in August of 2021. The mainnet, along with Deeper Connect devices, empowers users to be both a client and a server. The Deeper Chain rewards users with its native token, $DPR, for sharing bandwidth, allowing users to also mine and stake $DPR.
Since each user’s data is contained on their own device, their data cannot be hacked, logged or subpoenaed. This makes the Deeper Network the future of network security, and one of the most secure and private ways to surf the internet and transmit data.
Holders looking for a bridge between blockchains were rewarded. The cross-chain bridge between Ehereum Mainnet and Deeper Chain and Binance Smart Chain (BSC) Mainnet to Deeper Chain networks were launched shortly after mainnet launch. With all this going on, the Deeper Network never stopped developing their next generation of hardware.
The Deeper Connect Pico
The Kickstarter campaign for the Deeper Connect Pico was launched in November, 2021, adding to the family of Deeper Network’s DPN hardware devices and services.
The Deeper Connect Pico is the world’s thinnest, lightest, smallest, and yet the most unique and powerful cybersecurity hardware device. The Pico integrates a 7-layer enterprise-grade firewall and decentralized VPN (DPN) onto its own native chain creating real use cases for its native coin $DPR.
The plug-and-play functionality of the Pico is essential in knocking down the barriers for accessibility and usability. The Pico requires minimal configuration to connect to all your devices, with the included Wi-Fi adapter you can simply set up the Pico at home or on the go to enjoy all of its amazing features protecting your entire network. The first Pico was shipped in January, 2022 and has amassed over USD $3.7 million on crowdfunding as of April.

The Deeper Network’s Future
Looking ahead, The Deeper Network is continuing to build the infrastructure of Web3, making it accessible for all. The focus is on the continued growth of nodes on the network. Currently, there are over 60,000 nodes in over 150 countries around the world, and growing each quarter.
The Deeper Network will continue to build out the DeFi ecosystem which will also include yield farming and NFT marketplaces.
A major development for 2022 will be the launch of decentralized advertising (d-Ads), a decentralized video content platform (d-Tube), both of which will be DApps in the Deeper Network Web3 ecosystem powered by $DPR.
Currently, users can block ads from third parties. With d-Ads, the Deeper Network can replace them with ads from people in the network. No more ads from third parties but only from those within the community. Users will earn $DPR for watching d-Ads from the community members or have the option to not watch at all.
With EVM integrated onto the Deeper Chain, third-party developers we’ll have the opportunity to build their own dApps and launch them on D-Gate, Deeper Network’s own dApp store. In a short amount of time, the Deeper Network has become the provider of decentralized private networks, a peer-to-peer ecosystem built on a sharing economy, and enterprise-level network security anywhere you go.
The success and traction the project has gained garnered the attention of tier 1 venture capitalists and exchanges alike.
